I state that I am not a fan of web-based feed reader like Google Reader , I prefer to have the information always available, then use a client (local).
Although work with Google Gears in making their applications available offline is also commendable, I would say that the project is not yet mature.
Among the client is definitely worth mentioning Windows Live Mail (Microsoft), which integrates e-mail handler in the now tested also feed aggregator.
Nothing to say about the quality of WLM (though not a very fast software ...), but here you have to make a distinction.
I prefer that the email (personal and work) are separated from the feed (information), and that their synchronization is distinct, so the best solution is to use a separate program for feeds.

Installation: Easy.
